Lazy Hazy Days

Pool Time!
We've had a great summer so far. There have been lots of firsts for Corbin as we try to combat the 90 degree weather. A few weeks ago we blew up the little baby pool for Corbin's first "swim". We thouight he might like it but didn't think it would be any different than his bath. He loved it! There was plenty of room to cruise around. He even enjoyed a beverage poolside.

Corbin's also been enjoying our garden and spent one summer afternoon picking pebbles out of the garden and dropping them into his wheel barrow. We've tried to get him to transfer this skill to weed pulling but no luck yet.

Helping in the Garden

Corbin graduated from the baby pool last weekend on our visit to Marblehead, Ohio on Lake Erie to visit with my sister and her family. Our first day we ventured to Cedar Point. Corbin rode two of the three carousels, munched on chili and won a stuffed "fishie" (with Daddy's help!). Although it rained the next day, we manage to spend some time at the beach on Sunday morning. Corbin had a great time, playing in the sand and dipping his toes in the water.

Digging for Buried Treasure

Then Corbin got brave and got closer to the water. He went up to his knees and each time a wave came he gave a big smile and said "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!"

Big Wave

Tomorrow Corbin and I head to Maryland with Gramma and PopPop to visit Aunt P. and Uncle C. We're sad to leave Daddy at home, but know he'll enjoy his bachelor time.
